Mariners Spring Training

... and so baseball begins! Steve's favorite past time. We really enjoyed the sunny Arizona 80 degree weather, and games everyday, (except one when we drove to Sedona for the helicopter ride). I did get some shopping in...anyone ever been to Tempe's Arizona Mills Mall? It was awesome... Never enough time to shop! Oh and they have great restaurants around there too!

Our seats were on the isle just behind the M's dugout, so Steve seized the opportunity and got a ball autographed by Felix, while I snapped the photos.  He (Felix) had a super attitude throughout the games - signing & photos.. happy & patient!

Thought we'd check out another ballpark just a few minutes away... the Reds and the Indians field - Goodyear Ballpark.  It sits down in the ground & fairly new.  The Mariners played the Cleveland Indians. 

Another opportunity.... Bob Feller - Hall of Famer 1962,  was on hand to sign photos, cards & balls, and smile for photos.... again Steve lucked out and got them all!   In his 18-year career with Cleveland, Bob Feller amassed 266 victories and 2,581 strikeouts, leading the league in that category seven times.  His stats would have been even better, if his career hadn't been interrupted by his military service.  Cool 

At 91 Bob Feller is still the only MLB Pitcher to have a no hitter on opening day!
